Meet Your Clinician
Katie Gonzalez, MFT Trainee
I’m Katie Gonzalez, a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate life’s most difficult seasons. My clinical experience spans across multiple levels of care, including crisis residential treatment, outpatient programs (PHP/IOP), and individual therapy. This has given me the privilege of working with a wide range of clients, from those in acute crisis to those seeking deeper personal growth. I have worked extensively with individuals living with mood disorders, personality disorders, and dissociative disorders, as well as clients coping with trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational challenges.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to the unique needs of each person I work with. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy, while also incorporating creative and experiential modalities like Brainspotting to access healing at a deeper level. For couples, I am currently training in the Gottman Method with a focus on affair recovery, helping partners rebuild trust, repair communication, and restore intimacy after betrayal. I believe therapy is not just about symptom reduction—it’s about fostering resilience, self-understanding, and healthier connections with others.
Before stepping into the field of therapy, I spent over seven years in leadership and human resources roles, which deepened my skills in conflict resolution, coaching, and supporting people through times of change. Today, I bring both that professional background and my clinical training into the therapy room, offering a balance of empathy, honesty, and practical tools.
I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel truly seen and supported. My goal is to empower each person to uncover their strengths, work through past wounds, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and hope.
Katie offers compassionate therapy and assessment on a sliding scale starting at $100 per session.
